Nickerson Family Tree by Sophia Caroline Nickerson July 1939
Sophie Nickerson was the sister of my grandfather Walter.
Below is her document recording a section of the Nickerson Family Tree along with some of her personal observations with the help of her Aunt Mabel. On Memorial Day this year (2017) my mother, spouse and I made our annual trip to Madison to decorate the graves of my grandparents and great grandparents. The house of "Aunt Mabel" which I remember from my youth is right up the road. I did not quite trust my memory so since there was a yard sale going on I stopped and asked if "Aunt Mabel" had lived there. The woman told me that Mabel Weber's name is painted in the barn.
When I was young we were visiting and I peered down the well which is still out front and saw a garter snake staring back at me. An impression a boy is not likely to forget.
